Carbonaro’s late night TV appearances on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” launched him into stardom through his hit comedic TV series “The Carbonaro Effect.” A trickster at heart, on his show Carbonaro performs inventive tricks on unsuspecting members of the public who are unaware that he is a magician. Carbonaro’s illusions – along with his absurd, matter-of-fact explanations – leave viewers amazed and laughing out loud.

In celebration of the holiday season, del Lago Resort & Casino donated toys, gifts and household essentials to Seneca Community Christmas Project, Inc. for the second year in a row. The items were collected through an internal employee toy drive.

The Seneca Community Christmas Project, Inc. serves families who are faced with challenging times during the holiday season. Each year, the Seneca Community Christmas Project serves 500-600 families and works with the requests each family provides to fulfill wishes for gifts as well as household necessities.

“At del Lago, it’s our privilege and responsibility to help support our community and by giving back we can assist others who may simply need a helping hand this holiday season,” said Mark Juliano, executive vice president and general manager of del Lago Resort & Casino.

December 10, 2018 — In honor of Thanksgiving, del Lago Resort & Casino donated $1,000 to Vera House, Inc., of Syracuse, NY. The proceeds were raised through a month-long social media “thankful” campaign in honor of the holiday season.

Del Lago Resort & Casino’s social media fans were asked to nominate a local non-profit of their choice to receive the donation. Vera House, Inc. was randomly selected among the nominees and named the recipient.

Vera House, Inc. is a comprehensive domestic and sexual violence service agency providing shelter, advocacy and counseling services for women, men and children, education and prevention programs, and community coordination.

del Lago Resort & Casino Raises $1,500
for Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of CNY

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, del Lago Resort & Casino donated $1,500 to the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of CNY. The proceeds were raised through del Lago’s October Tasting Tuesday event and a month-long “Drink Pink” cocktail menu.

On Oct. 30, del Lago hosted another successful Tasting Tuesday in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Tasting Tuesday series (formerly Savor del Lago) is a monthly event featuring samplings from local Finger Lakes wineries, breweries and cideries. Proceeds from the event support a different local charity each month.

Additionally, throughout October, del Lago offered a “Drink Pink” cocktail menu featuring a selection of handcrafted cocktails and local wine from Lucas Vineyards. $1 per cocktail purchased was donated to the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of CNY.

Del Lago Resort & Casino presented Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of CNY with a $1,500 check, which will allow the fund to continue supporting both new and established researchers investigating the causes, prevention and treatment of breast cancer.

Finger Lakes Property Donated Over 300 Turkeys and Non-Perishable Items to Benefit Multiple Local Organizations

To mark the Thanksgiving holiday, del Lago Resort & Casino donated more than 300 turkeys and non-perishable food items to local Seneca and Ontario County charities that provide nourishment to those in need.

On Friday, del Lago Resort & Casino donated turkeys to the Seneca County community Thanksgiving dinner, which is hosted by the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge #992 in partnership with Seneca County House of Concern and United Way of Seneca County. The community event provides a traditional dinner to those in need and meals are also delivered to homebound community residents. del Lago also donated turkeys to the Canandaigua Veterans Affairs Medical Center, which will be used for an on-site dinner for homeless and in-patient veterans, and additional turkeys will be distributed to out-patient veterans to enjoy dinner with their families at home.

Additionally, del Lago Resort & Casino employees hosted the second annual month-long food drive for Seneca County House of Concern. Departments within del Lago worked together to see which group could donate the most non-perishable food items for the rights to display the Community Service Contest Award Winner trophy until next fall. Staff from del Lago Resort & Casino delivered the items to the food pantry on Monday.
