Del Lago Resort & Casino hosted another successful Tasting Tuesday event on Sept. 25 with proceeds benefitting Between the Lakes Flood Relief 2018 for those affected by this summer’s flash flood in the southern part of Seneca County. Del Lago Resort & Casino presented the Lodi Fire Department, which is overseeing the flood relief fund with a $1,193 donation that will allow them to continue assisting residents affected by flooding that occurred in August. The damage and clean-up efforts continue to impact residents nearly two months later; many still do not have running water.
“Del Lago is proud to step up and do our part to support our neighbors in the southern part of Seneca County as they continue to recover from the devastating flood damage,” said Mark Juliano, executive vice president and general manager. In addition to the Tasting Tuesday event, del Lago delivered 700 sandwiches, chips, baked goods and pallets of water to the southern part of the county.
The Tasting Tuesday series is a monthly event featuring wine, beer and cider samplings from local Finger Lakes wineries, breweries and cideries. Proceeds from the event support a different local charity each month. The next Tasting Tuesday event will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 30 with proceeds benefitting the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of CNY.
