del Lago Resort & Casino Donates $1,205 Raised During Tasting Tuesday Event to the American Heart Association of Rochester

As a staunch community steward, del Lago Resort & Casino focuses its mission to strengthen the community by supporting local organizations and nonprofits that improve the quality of life in the region. Each month, del Lago Resort & Casino hosts Tasting Tuesdays, an event featuring wine, beer, and cider samplings from Finger Lakes regional wineries, breweries, and cideries. Proceeds from the event support a different local charity each month.
As result of February’s Tasting Tuesdays event, del Lago presented $1,205 to the American Heart Association of Rochester. The American Heart Association is devoted to saving people from heart disease and stroke. Heart disease is the No. 1 cause of death nationally and stroke is the No. 3 killer in Rochester. Stroke is the No. 5 killer nationally. The organization teams with local volunteers to fund innovative research, fight for stronger public health policies, and provide lifesaving tools and information to prevent and treat these diseases throughout our community.
