Chubby Checker visits ahead of local performance

Music legend Chubby Checker, best known for his iconic version of “The Twist” in 1960, is getting ready for a performance in our area.
The show is happening October 11 at 8 p.m. at at del Lago Resort & Casino.
Ahead of next week’s show, Checker, who turns 78 this week, paid us a visit in studio on Good Day Rochester.
He talked about why “The Twist” has been a lasting hit, how Rochester is responsible for a memorable moment early in his career, what he thinks of today’s music and much more.
