Blood, Sweat & Tears to Perform at del Lago Resort & Casino’s The Vine

Del Lago Resort & Casino is pleased to announce Blood, Sweat & Tears will perform at The Vine at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8. Tickets go on sale at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, and may be purchased in person at the del Lago Resort & Casino box office, by calling the box office at 315-946-1695 or online at dellagoresort.com/entertainment.

Blood, Sweat & Tears invented a new style of music in the late ’60s. The band is not the first group to ever use a horn section, but it was the first to fuse it with rock, jazz and some blues thrown in for good measure. The band’s second album, self-titled “Blood Sweat & Tears,” was a huge success, rising to the top of the charts for seven weeks and yielding three Top 5 singles. The album received the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1970, beating out the Beatles’ “Abby Road.” The album earned quadruple-platinum status with sales well over 4 million. “Blood Sweat & Tears” went on to receive 10 Grammy nominations and won three. The album was also inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2002. One of the band’s most iconic performances was in August 1969 at Woodstock, the same day as Jimi Hendrix. Blood, Sweat & Tears’ multiple Billboard Top 40 hits include “Spinning Wheel,” “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy,” “Hi-De-Ho,” “God Bless the Child” and many more.
