Del Lago Resort & Casino continues to give back to local nonprofits with its community giving program, Community Cash In. The donation program raised $3,840.86 for Foodlink, a local food resource center and the Feeding America food bank serving Allegany, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming and Yates counties.
Donations for the Community Cash In are raised by guests who donate slot machine vouchers into one of five marked receptacles located at the cage and at each casino entrance. The total of the vouchers is donated each quarter to a local charity selected by del Lago Resort & Casino. This is the second Community Cash In donation given by del Lago Resort & Casino, the first check for $3,144.15 was donated to the Seneca County House of Concern.
“We are thrilled to present our second Community Cash In recipient, Foodlink, with this donation,” Mark Juliano, executive vice president and general manager of del Lago Resort & Casino said. “Every dollar donated covers the cost of three meals and with our donation, we are proud to provide 11,522 meals to our neighbors in need. This is a perfect example of why we created the Community Cash In program, and we thank our guests who donated to this very worthy cause.”
Foodlink’s food banking operations distribute millions of pounds of food to a network of hundreds of human-service agencies throughout our service area. Foodlink’s Community Kitchen prepares and delivers thousands of meals daily for Rochester children, supports our regional agricultural economy by slicing locally grown apples and hosts one-of-a-kind career empowerment programs to train individuals with barriers to employment for careers in the regional food industry.
